The right to data portability is the last of the individual rights provided by Law 25 to come into force, on September 22, 2024. We will discuss what this right entails for Canadian insurers and, in practice, what they should be putting in place to ensure compliance. Québec was also the first jurisdiction to enact a regulation specifically regulating the anonymization of personal information. This presentation will discuss how to navigate this important, but complex regulation.
