Mike Hollingworth is currently the Chief of Staff and Associate Deputy Commissioner of the Canadian Competition Bureau. Mike first joined the Bureau in 2010 in the Mergers Branch leading complex merger reviews. He arrived at the Bureau following time as Counsel to the Commissioner at the Competition Bureau Legal Services, Justice Canada. Over the years, in increasingly more senior roles, he has led complex investigations in the areas of cartels, mergers and abuse of dominance. Prior to his current position, Mike was the Associate Deputy Commissioner of the Monopolistic Practices Directorate of the Bureau. Before joining the Bureau, Mike was an associate at a large national law firm in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and securities.
