A strategic, pragmatic and results-oriented in-house general counsel with broad legal experience in the Canadian insurance industry, Gadhi Cruz currently serves as Senior Vice President, Senior Counsel of Swiss Re’s Canada and English Caribbean business, overseeing legal services delivered to the company's P&C and L&H reinsurance operations across both regions. She is a member of the Canadian branch's Executive Team, Branch Management and the global Virtual Cyber Team under Swiss Re's Centralized Cyber Incident Responses. She also serves as Canada's Location Head where she is responsible for the operational function in Canada and representing the Canadian branches internally with the Swiss Re Group and externally with regulators, industry associations and charitable and social organizations, including overseeing Canada's Incident Management Team, business continuity, and crisis and emergency management. She presents on legal and regulatory topics to Swiss Re's clients at the annual L&H Claims Forum and the annual L&H Underwriting Seminar. Before joining Swiss Re in 2020, Gadhi served as the Head of Legal and Compliance at a global P&C commercial insurer and as Counsel and Corporate Secretary at a Canadian insurer with L&H, P&C and travel insurance business.
