Neil is Associate General Counsel of BMO Financial and the CCO of BMO Insurance. Prior to his role with BMO, Neil held progressively more senior legal roles with other financial services/insurance organizations, including Sun Life Financial and ivari (spending more than a decade at each). He began his legal career with Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP as a corporate lawyer with a focus on financial services and M&A and has twice been a finalist at the ZSA/National Post Canadian General Counsel Awards. Neil is a graduate of Dalhousie (Schulich) Law School and Queen's University. He lives in Toronto, where he and his spouse are adjusting to life as pseudo-empty nesters (both children in university)!
