Robert S. Piccolo, MBA, JD, ACG, CIC.C Robert Piccolo currently serves as Senior Legal Counsel for Empire Life, primarily supporting its investments line of business. Born and raised in Toronto, Mr. Piccolo earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He was called to the Bar in Massachusetts in 2006 and Ontario in 2010. Mr. Piccolo articled at the Ontario Securities Commission, where he clerked for the Vice-Chair of the Commission, and prior to that worked in the US Division of a large Canadian life insurance company. More recently, he served as Assistant Vice-President and Assistant Corporate Secretary for a mid-size Canadian bank. Mr. Piccolo has held various securities licenses, and is a Chartered Governance Professional and Certified In-House Counsel. His interests include travelling, hiking, cooking, and all things tech. Robert lives in Toronto with his wife and children.
