A graduate in law from Laval University and a member of the Québec Bar since 2003, Mélissa Perreault has served as Director, Distribution Practices and SROs since 2020. She is responsible for regulatory development work and supervision of the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages and the Chambre de la sécurité financière. During her 14 years at the Autorité des marchés financiers, she has held various positions involved in the supervision of intermediaries governed by the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services, including inspector and senior policy analyst. She has led or taken part in several major regulatory projects, including those relating to financial products and services offered via the Internet and to complaint processing and dispute resolution in the financial sector.
