Catherine Gagné is a Partner at Blakes. She has been practising employment and labour law since the beginning of her career. She advises employers on managing employment relationships in both unionized and non-unionized contexts, covering labour standards, employment contracts, human rights, privacy, language of work, human resources policies, and employee benefits management. She represents employers before Quebec courts and administrative bodies, including in grievance arbitration proceedings. Catherine is also experienced with pension plan administration and governance, which enables her to advise employers and pension committees on various pension issues.

In commercial transactions, Catherine provides strategic guidance on employee, pension and benefits related impacts and assists with workforce integration, and drafting employment representations, warranties, and agreements.

Catherine is also a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec.
