Ian Li is a Senior Associate in Torys LLP's Competition and Foreign Investment Review group. Ian’s practice focuses on competition law and foreign investment review matters. He provides advice to clients on all aspects of Canadian competition law in connection with complex mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances under the Competition Act. In his foreign investment review practice, Ian advises clients on net benefit, cultural sector investment and national security reviews under the Investment Canada Act. He has represented numerous foreign investors, including state-owned enterprises, as well as domestic targets in acquisition transactions.
