Russell has over 14 years of experience working within financial services tax in PwC Canada, with a further 5 years spent with the UK firm prior to joining PwC Canada. His areas of expertise include insurance, banking, asset management, leasing and private equity companies. Russell has been closely involved with IFRS 17 and working with the industry since the standard was first announced. He has spent considerable time understanding the standard,modeling the expected impact, and interpreting the consequences for tax purposes. He is also experienced with implementing automation projects to create internal and client facing efficiencies with tax provision and reporting functions.
