Sophia Chen – AVP Indirect Tax, Sun Life Sophia is the AVP of Indirect Tax at Sun Life in Toronto. She has been working at Sun Life for over 7 years and is responsible for all Canadian Indirect tax compliance and advisory, including provincial premium taxes and withholding taxes. Prior to joining Sun Life, Sophia obtained her indirect tax experience at EY, with a secondment to the Department of Finance working on the GST treatment of financial services from a tax policy perspective.
