Anita Swamy is Senior Vice President of Operations at Medavie Blue Cross, a leading Canadian health solutions organization. Anita brings her proven leadership and strategic guidance to drive the organization’s operations. Her expertise in the Customer Experience space is widely recognized and she has shared her insights at speaking events locally and internationally. In 2022 she was the Canadian delegate at the Executive Development Program through the International Federation of Health Plans (iFHP) which immerses Executives from around the world in understanding the nuances of healthcare in a global landscape.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Anita leads and motivates her teams and colleagues with real world experiences and an eagerness to challenge the status quo. Anita provides strategic leadership and oversight in individual and group administration, claims and contact centre to deliver a superior customer experience as defined by shifting customer demand.

Anita is a graduate of Dalhousie University and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, two Project Management Designations (PMP and PMI-RMP). She actively participates in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Customer Experience Community, is the Vice Chair of the National Benefit and Claims Committee of the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Halifax Partnership and De-Cell Technologies.
