Brendan Wong is a Commercial Litigation partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, specializing in fraud litigation. Brendan regularly acts for insurers in defending against litigation brought by delisted health care providers, and other disputes related to delistings. He has also represented insurers and other major financial institutions, private investors, and other businesses in recovering the proceeds of fraud. In doing so, Brendan frequently obtains Norwich orders to locate and investigate the assets of suspected fraudsters, Mareva orders to freeze the proceeds of fraud, and Anton Piller orders (colloquially referred to as “civil search warrants”) to identify, secure, and preserve evidence of misconduct. Brendan obtained his LLB from Dalhousie University in 2004 and his LLM from the University of Cambridge in 2010, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2005.
