Janet Sinclair has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Council of BC since 2017. Reporting to the Voting Members of Council, she holds responsibility for Council’s operations including the licensing and compliance of its 45,000 licensees. Prior to coming to Council, Janet spent 16 years at Engineers and Geoscientists BC, the regulator for those two professions. During her time there she held a number of different roles, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2011. Janet originally trained as a genetic technologist and while practicing she served as the President of the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences where she became engaged in the regulation of health professions in BC.
