An award-winning strategic leader, Sarah Hoffman serves as the President and CEO of Pacific Blue Cross, leveraging her significant health, financial and business acumen. She brings an empathetic and communicative approach with a proven track record for building an engaged, equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace. Born and raised in Queensland, Sarah holds a designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. A dual Canadian and Australian citizen, she relocated to Vancouver in 2002 to pursue her career ambitions. Before joining Pacific Blue Cross, Sarah served as an executive for over a decade at Healthcare Benefit Trust, starting as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) before progressing to CEO. Her 20+ years of experience in finance, administration and health care inform her role as CEO, guiding Pacific Blue Cross with unwavering dedication. Recognized as CFO of the Year by Business in Vancouver, Sarah is a dynamic innovator, passionate about finding opportunities for business transformation. She is committed to the delivery of cost-effective, efficient and tailored solutions that are accessible and meaningful to all stakeholders. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys time with her two young boys and is involved in many aspects of their lives and school community, including volunteering with the Parent Advisory Committee. She was also honoured to sit on the Board of the Positive Women’s Network in Vancouver, and is currently on the President’s Group Advisory Committee, dedicated to creating accessible and inclusive workplaces.
