Marie-Chantal received her LL.L. from the Civil Law Section of the University of Ottawa and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990. She began her career in the group insurance industry with The Prudential of America. Not long after its acquisition by London Life, she was offered the opportunity to join the Montreal Law Department where she worked from 1996 until 1998. Early in 1999, she joined the legal research team of one of the major Canadian consulting firms where she was introduced to the world of pension. In 2004, she was recruited at Standard Life, where she worked for close to 8 years, first as a GRS business Compliance Team Leader and afterwards as a Senior Counsel with the Legal Department to support the GRS Canadian operations. After having briefly worked among the team of pension and benefit lawyers at another major consulting firm in Montreal, she was hired as the Director, Legal Affairs for the Montreal Police Pension Plan in 2013.

Marie-Chantal joined the Montreal Law Department of Canada Life (formerly Great-West Life) in 2018 supporting the Quebec GRS and Wealth Management divisions. Her role evolved and she is now working on national GRS projects and continues to support Individual Wealth operations on Quebec matters.
