With more than three decades of experience at a member company, I have developed a deep understanding of the insurance industry’s evolving landscape. In 2024, I joined the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) as Director, Market Conduct and Policy Regulation, bringing my extensive expertise in compliance, consumer protection, and regulatory affairs to this influential role. My responsibilities encompass direct engagement with the Alternate and Creditors Distribution Committee, where I collaborate on strategies to ensure fair and transparent distribution practices. Additionally, I work closely with the Ombudservices and Complaint Committee, helping to address consumer concerns and enhance complaint resolution processes. My work focuses on facilitating dialogue between industry stakeholders, regulators, and consumers, ensuring that CLHIA member companies operate with integrity and adhere to best practices. Throughout my career, I have been committed to fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement within the insurance sector.
