Matt has led Manulife's global tax team since 2019 and is chair of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association tax committee. Prior to that he was a tax partner with EY in Toronto, primarily serving clients in the insurance, banking and asset management industries. Matt was also a lecturer for the University of Waterloo's Master of Taxation program for over ten years, where he taught business structuring. He is a CPA, CA and has degrees from Union College (BA Economics) and the University of Waterloo (MAcc).
