Vicki-Anne is a professionally trained psychotherapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with specialized expertise in trauma-informed care, mental health, and workplace wellness. With more than 15 years of leadership experience, she has served as a Senior Human Resources and Organizational Development Executive, providing strategic advice, analysis, and recommendations to senior management teams and governance bodies within complex and highly regulated environments.
Her professional expertise spans industrial and organizational psychology, integrated human resources planning, organizational and professional development, disability management, talent acquisition and retention, and the administration, interpretation, and executive feedback of psychometric assessments. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong ability to interpret and operationalize policy, support governance and strategic planning functions, and uphold the highest standards of ethics, accountability, and service excellence. She is recognized for building trusted relationships, delivering high-quality executive services, and consistently exceeding program and performance objectives.
In addition to her executive leadership experience, Vicki-Anne has served as a part-time professor, where she has had the privilege of developing and teaching post-secondary courses in mental health and addictions, social work, and related disciplines. Her passion for education has led her to design and develop numerous course syllabi that bridge academic theory with practical, real-world application, helping prepare the next generation of helping professionals.
Grounded in a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, Vicki-Anne is deeply committed to fostering psychological safety, resilience, and well-being in individuals, organizations, and communities. Her work is informed by a belief that meaningful change occurs when people feel valued, heard, and empowered.
Outside of her professional life, she is a foster mother to a young boy in Cambodia through Food for the Hungry, an experience that reflects her commitment to global citizenship and compassion. She also shares her home with Felicity, her beloved black cat. In her free time, she enjoys singing, writing, drawing, and swimming—creative and restorative pursuits that help nurture both personal well-being and lifelong learning.
