Dr. Valerie Penton, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Masters degree in Medicine (Applied Health Services Research) and Doctor of Naturopathy degree.
Dr. Penton has an evidence based approach, using natural therapies to help her patients optimize their health. She advocates for an individualized and collaborative approach to healthcare. She grew up in rural NL and is passionate about educating and empowering her patients in their health and well-being.
Dr. Penton has a special focus and additional training in fertility/perinatal care, women’s health, thyroid conditions and mental health.

Dr. Penton is a member in Good Standing with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA). She is also a member of, and serves on the Board of Directors for, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and is a registered member of both the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NBAND) and is Co-Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NLAND).

Outside of private practice, Dr. Penton prioritizes her time with her family and enjoys spending time near the ocean and finding new trails to hike.
