Karine Malenfant is a licensed dental hygienist with over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice and the insurance industry. She began her career in private dental practice, working in general dentistry and specialized settings, including prosthodontics and periodontics. Karine then transitioned to insurance industry 2010, where she developed expertise in analyzing provider billing, identifying irregularities and supporting risk management initiatives.

Since joining Sun Life in 2019, Karine has played a key role in strengthening dental fraud detection and claims integrity efforts, including leading the organization’s first dental provider delisting in Quebec. She currently serves as Manager of the Dental Provider Profiling team, driving oversight and risk mitigation across dental provider billing practices.
