An early career milestone was crafting the TD Financial Group’s inaugural Insurance business plan. Over six years it grew very profitably to be a multi-product line encompassing various distribution channels and reinsurance companies. Mark then over the next twenty years led Munich RE's Claims operations, laterly for North America Life & Health and was co-responsible for Canadian Group business. He was a frequent industry speaker on how to transform an insurer’s claims operations using data analytics and technology.
Mark also has extensive not-for-profit board governance and leadership experience, including sitting on the board of the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto for six years (Vice-Chair), United Way of York Region for eight years (Chair) and currently on the board of Homes First Society and an Investment Committee Member for the YMCA of Greater Toronto.
Mark has an MBA and HBA from Ivey Business School, Western University and earned a CFP.
