B1 - Case Study on vulnerable consumers with the CSF (session will be in French)

 

The CSF oversees the mandatory continuing education, ethics and discipline of over 34,000 members in Quebec including financial security advisors and group insurance and annuity advisors. In this session the CSF will discuss cases involving vulnerable customers that become complex or lead to complaints and how to use the tools on the CSF website to support advisors in identifying and supporting vulnerable clients.

This session will be held in French.

B2 - Applying the Fairness Triangle: An Interactive Workshop with OLHI Case Studies (Members Only)

 

Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop where we explore case studies reviewed by the OmbudService for Life & Health Insurance (OLHI). The session will begin with key statistics to provide insight into the types of complaints OLHI reviews, followed by an analysis of two case studies. Using the Fairness Triangle as our guiding framework, we will examine how fairness is applied in complaint resolution. This session offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of complaint handling through practical application and discussion.

Building on the UN Environment Programme’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance Initiative Canadian Insurance Industry Task Force Social Thematic Working Group's position paper "Closing the Protection Gap in Canada: A Social Sustainability Framework", this session explores the profound intersection of climate change and mental health and focuses on how the insurance industry can raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on mental health and wellbeing.
